During the use of donut maker, you may encounter the following common problems:
1. The batter sticks to the mold
Reason: The batter is too thick or not lubricated enough, causing it to stick to the mold surface and cannot be demolded smoothly.
Solution: Use an appropriate amount of oil or cooking spray to spray on the mold to maintain the appropriate batter concentration and wetness. You can also clean the mold regularly to avoid batter residue.
2. Uneven donut shape
Reason: Uneven batter amount, improper injection or too high/too low oil temperature will cause uneven donut shape.
Solution: Make sure the amount of batter injected each time is the same, and check whether the machine is set up with a device to evenly distribute the batter. Adjust the oil temperature to the appropriate range, usually 170°C to 190°C.
3. Over-oiled or greasy donuts
Reason: Too low oil temperature or too long cooking time will cause the donuts to absorb too much grease.
Solution: Make sure the oil temperature is within the appropriate range (usually 170°C to 190°C) and adjust the cooking time according to the size of the donuts.
4. The donut surface is not golden or crispy
Reason: The oil temperature is not appropriate, or the heating element of the machine is faulty, resulting in the donut surface not achieving the desired golden and crispy effect.
Solution: Check if the oil temperature is too low, make sure the donut machine heating element is working properly, and adjust the cooking time to achieve a golden crust.
5. The donut core is too raw or overcooked
Reason: The oil temperature is too high or too low, resulting in the outside being burnt and the inside not fully cooked, or the time is too long and the inside becomes dry.
Solution: Make sure the oil temperature is moderate, adjust the temperature setting or cooking time of the donut machine so that it can be heated evenly inside and outside.
6. The donut maker cannot heat up
Reason: Poor power contact, damaged heating element, temperature control system failure, etc.
Solution: Check if there is a problem with the power cord and socket, and make sure the machine switch is normal. If the problem persists, you may need to contact after-sales service for repairs.
7. Difficulty cleaning the machine
Reason: Batter and oil stains accumulate on the machine surface and mold, making cleaning inconvenient.
Solution: Clean promptly after each use to avoid long-term accumulation of residues. Use a special cleaning brush or cloth to clean the oil tank and mold. Some machines are equipped with removable molds or non-stick coatings for easy cleaning.
8. Machine overheating
Reason: Long-term use or excessive heating may cause the machine temperature to be too high, overheating protection or automatic shutdown.
Solution: Avoid long-term continuous use and stop the machine for cooling as needed. The machine can be used intermittently to avoid overheating caused by long-term operation.
9. The donut makers abnormal noises
Reason: The internal parts of the machine may make noises due to excessive wear, oil accumulation or mechanical failure.
Solution: Regularly check and maintain the machine, clean moving parts, and replace damaged parts in time.
